What happens when you change your contacts every month instead of every 2 weeks?

I know that you’re supposed 2 change your contacts every 2 weeks, but i know a handful of people who change there’s somewhere from a month to like every 45 days. I hear they just say that because it’s more money.

I don’t have the kind of contacts that you’re able to leave in, but once I left mine in for a week or so and it got a bunch of weird crystal-like things on them. And I ended up getting an eye infection. So I’m guessing the same thing could happen to you if you leave them in for too long. Be careful!
